Finally, the most user-friendly big block head on the market has been developed. BRODIX is now manufacturing a cylinder head that bolts directly in place of stock cast iron heads allowing reuse of the intake manifold and pistons. The most important improvement is that the exhaust ports are in the stock location eliminating header or manifold interference. The Race Rite® oval or rectangle port is the answer for less hassle during installation.

Dart has reinvented the Rat Motor! Their cast-iron Big M big-block is a no compromise design that solves the problems that have plagued big-block racers for years. Working with top builders and Dart's own championship-winning Pro Stock engine department, they have designed a user-friendly block with the features you need today. For example, Dart redesigned the lubrication system to create a true ''priority main'' system that oils all of the main bearings before the lifters for extra reliability. The stepped main oil gallery (9/16'' to 1/2'' to 7/16'') increases the flow of oil to the crank at high RPM, and our front oil crossover eliminates internal oil leaks around the distributor shaft. The result: more oil at the bearings and pushrods where it's needed, and less power-robbing crankcase windage. Big-blocks are prone to head gasket failure in long spans between head bolts. Dart has added two head stud bosses on both sides of the lifter valley to take the place of the ''missing'' head bolts. The bosses are slotted so yo can use studs instead of hard-to-install bolts. Dart machines these blocks in-house on precision CNC equipment to ensure quality and to eliminate the need for expensive ''blueprinting''. They have engineered the Big M to be the strongest, most reliable, and easiest to build big-block on the market.

Magnum Cams are very aggressive and specifically designed for the street enthusiast looking for more power with that Pro Street sound. Intended for performance oriented vehicles that will see little street use. The idle characteristics of your engine will change due to the increased duration and overlap of the Magnum Cam Series. The hydraulic roller cams do dramatically decrease friction, as well as lifter wear. As far as power, the roller profile allows the design of more lift, and a greater area under the curve giving much better top end power without sacrificing bottom end. You will notice a racey idle with the 280-grind while the 292 and 305-grinds will produce a rough or ''rumbly'' idle. Stock components are incompatible. Changes are needed in rear end gear ratios, headers and the torque converter. Magnum Cams will affect your power accessories to a certain extent. The 280 and 292-grinds are the biggest cams that should be used with power assisted brakes, air conditioning, etc. You should remember that the bigger the engine is, the less the cam will affect the vacuum which affects your power accessories. The smaller your engine is, the more the Magnum Camshaft will affect your power accessories. Most late model vehicles have a vacuum canister. If your vehicle does not have a vacuum canister, it may be necessary to add one.

For over 25 years, Lunati has been producing top quality camshafts and components. Designed for customers who take their performance seriously, each line of Lunati camshafts represents the latest in camshaft technology and production. We've got a ton of different grinds in stock, so take a look at our application guide for the camshaft that best suits your needs.

Lunati's Factory Performance line includes their versions of OEM performace camshafts. Designed for the individual who wants an exact factory replacement for their car when doing a restoration.

These Performance Level 3 camshafts from Crower are designed for moderately modified engines. Great for performance hot street/strip and performance marine applications, these cams have a great lope at idle. They offer an extended rpm range, with an emphasis on upper bottom to top-end power and a strong mid-range.

JE Pistons can make it happen. That's probably why more engine builders choose JE. Their success is due to many factors - Their high-tech CNC-based manufacturing facility produces thousands of pistons, each identical to the first. JE is also the first and only manufacturer to use Ultra-Crown 3-D technology. Previously considered an industry standard among the racing elite, this technology allows you to take advantage of one of racing's most guarded secrets.

Wiseco has built pistons for most major forms of motorsports, from off-road to rally, Formula 1 to drag racing. So their pistons benefit from some heavy-duty engineering experience. For maximum strength, they're forged from either 2168 or 4032 aluminum alloy, then precision CNC-machined to their intricate final configurations under close tolerances. Where applicable, designs incorporate strength provisions to deal with turbocharging, supercharging, and nitrous. Chromemoly wrist pins and Spirolox retainers are included.

The patented ATI Super Damper is the only damper designed exclusively for high rpm performance engines. The proven elastomer design is actually two dampers in one: a 4'' diameter and a 7'' diameter damper contained in two shells that bolt to the crank hub. The inner and outer shells are available in steel and in aluminum to contain the steel inertia weight. The inertia weight has eight computer machined grooves to retain the proper durometer O-rings (dyno tested for each application), and installed at ATI. O-ring life has been tested to over two million cycles in Winston Cup competition and 10 years in drag racing engines. The unit is rebuildable to new specifications by installing new O-rings. Extensive dyno and on-track testing has proven the Super Damper far superior to all other designs, especially on engines that turn over 6000 rpm, and is used on nearly 100% of all Winston Cup engines. Shells are black zinc chromate finished, with computer controlled, laser engraved 360° timing marks. Exceeds SFI 18.1 specs.

Fel-Pro Gaskets are engineered to deliver a perfect seal on every engine.
